Graphic Design, Undergraduate Program

The Fine and Performing Arts Department at Spring Hill College, a small Catholic, Jesuit liberal arts college in Mobile, Alabama, seeks applications for an undergraduate teaching position in Graphic Design beginning Fall 2010.
The graphic design major at Spring Hill College is an exciting, relatively new addition to the Fine and Performing Arts Department. It has grown rapidly and has an established curriculum providing students substantial graphic design instruction and experience within the context of a liberal arts education. This is an opportunity to become part of a recently started but solid program with great growth potential.
Specifications:
• Tenure Track appointment; assistant professor level with terminal degree.
• Candidates should have MFA with a graphic design emphasis; those with a corresponding MA and experience may also apply.
• Some teaching and professional experience preferred.
• Excellence in teaching greatly stressed; secondary emphasis also on professional development, artistic output and service to the college and community.
• Teaching duties could include: introduction to computer graphics; typography and advanced typography; web site design; package design; history of graphic design; and possibly foundational studio art: drawing and 2-D design.
• Proficient with industry-standard software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash; and know HTML and CSS.

Head Coach I--Men's Soccer (Full Time)

Spring Hill College, the Jesuit College of the South, invites applications for the position of Head Men's Soccer Coach. Spring Hill College is a member of the NAIA and begins competition in the Southern States Athletic Conference in the fall of 2010. This is a new full time position.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physical education or related field and collegiate coaching experience required. Master's degree and college head coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of the NAIA and Southern States Athletic Conference desired.
Responsibilities: The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the men's soccer program including; training of student athletes for practice and games, recruitment and retention of student athletes, scheduling, budget management, team travel, academic integrity, public relations, fundraising and supervision of assistant coach. Additional responsibilities within the department of athletics and recreation will be assigned.
Compensation: Commensurate with Education and Experience.

Major Gift Officer, Office of Development and College Relations

Major Gift Officer for Spring Hill College, the Jesuit College of the South, located in Mobile, Alabama. The College needs an organized, hard-working, and team-oriented Major Gift Officer to obtain private support and donations. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement, the primary job duty will be to cultivate, solicit, etc., major gifts prospects with the ability to give 25K plus. She/he will have responsibility for other projects as assigned. Prefer Bachelor's degree and experience in cultivating and soliciting major gifts.
