Title IX and Non Discrimination Policy

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which applies to all programs at a covered entity, including Spring Hill College, is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. Sex discrimination is a general category that includes sexual harassment and sexual violence.
