Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Ethics
This 12-credit-hour certificate is designed for those who wish to enhance their knowledge of leadership and ethics. The certificate program provides an understanding of leadership, its ethical dimensions and the context for its practical exercise for persons involved in or preparing for leadership roles in organizational settings.
Students seeking the certificate-only option are classified as non-degree students and must meet the non-degree admission requirements with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0. Students with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 may be asked to submit additional materials, including an acceptable score on the GRE or Miller Analogies Test.
The graduate certificate may also be completed as part of the Master of Liberal Arts degree. Students wishing to use the credits towards the MLA degree must meet the MLA admission requirements and be admitted to degree status before completing 9 credit hours in order to avoid losing credits earned in a non-degree status. Students must achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the certificate courses and complete the courses within the six years prior to the granting of the certificate.
Transfer credit is not accepted toward certificate programs. However, course substitutions may be permitted to avoid duplication of content.
