International Studies
Spring Hill College offers a four-year program in International Studies leading to the Bachelor of Science Degree. This degree program is designed to provide the kind of basic tools needed for an educated person to understand the complexities of the international and interdependent world in which we live today. Because of the overlapping nature of politics and economics at the global level, the core of the program revolves around courses in the departments of political science and economics. In addition, students are required to demonstrate intermediate level competency in a modern foreign language. This competency can be established either by taking appropriate foreign language courses or by passing an intermediate level competency examination. Details of required courses are available from the Director of the International Studies Program and are listed in the latest edition of the Spring Hill College Bulletin of Information.
