Digital Services Librarian (Assistant Professor Librarian). Library and Instructional Resource Services

Spring Hill College, a Jesuit liberal arts college located on the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama, is accepting applications for its Digital Services Librarian position.  This Librarian is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and promotion of digital library resources.  The librarian will work closely with library staff and faculty to facilitate the identification, and selection of digital resources, while managing metadata and library systems required in maintaining user access to resources. Assistant Professor - Political Science and Law. Tenure Track. Two Positions Available Beginning Fall 2016.

Chief Marketing Officer

Spring Hill College, the oldest Catholic college in the Southeast and the third oldest Jesuit college in the U.S, is searching for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).  Ideal candidates for this position will be dynamic self-starters who bring an enthusiasm and passion to the position, which provides strategic leadership for all of the College’s marketing and communication efforts.  The CMO is willing to participate in hands-on aspects to achieve aggressive goals set for marketing and communications while partnering with colleagues to direct and integrate all external communications with regard to message content, branding consistency, and effectiveness of producing the desired outcomes.  The two most critical competencies are (1) the ability to quickly assimilate the College’s overall competitive situation and design and execute a strategic marketing plan that positions the College favorably with prospective students and their parents and (2) the ability to drive awareness, leads, website traffic, and applications using the Spring Hill brand through significant improvements in digital and a greater measurement and accountability for results.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution providing the relevant business, communication, strategic-thinking and entrepreneurial skills required for this position.  An advanced degree from an accredited institution preferred.  Also requires 10+ years of directly related work experience to include a minimum of three (3) years of direct management experience over a team of professionals. Preference for someone from industry who recently migrated into academia or somebody from industry who can migrate into academia– the candidate needs to have strong digital competency.  Other preferences:  Advanced credentialing such as, e.g., MBA with Marketing emphasis.  Innately politically astute with a demonstrated ability to develop partnerships in a multiple stakeholder environment.

Admissions Counselor

Spring Hill College is searching for a new member of its Admissions team.  This Admissions Counselor primarily plans, implements, and evaluates recruitment activities for high school students. In particular, effort will be expended to increase and diversify the undergraduate population through admission and recruitment efforts through statistical analysis, market segmentation, alumni support, academic evaluation, and the procurement of financial aid from sources both on and off campus. This Admissions Counselor works closely with the Associate Director to develop strategies for recruitment that is consistent with the College’s mission and goals. Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer

The Department of Athletics at Spring Hill College, an NCAA Division II candidate affiliate member of the Gulf South Conference, has an Assistant Coach Position available with the Women’s Soccer Team. This is a 12 month (Full-Time) position.

Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of a nationally competitive women’s soccer program, including team travel, video editing, recruiting, on-field coaching, summer camps, monitoring academics, etc. Provide administration and coaching for all aspects of the JV soccer team along with the Program Graduate Assistant. The position will also assume secondary responsibilities in an area such as intramurals, recreation, sports information, Leisure Studies, game management, etc.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and experience appropriate to coaching and training in the respective sport is required.  Master’s degree and prior experience in coaching is preferred.
