Legal Services of Alabama

Legal Services of Alabama is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides qualifying low-income families with legal aid and assistance in civil matters. LSA is a statewide program serving all 67 counties in Alabama. LSA provides a full range of services, including: counsel and advice, mediation, administrative representation, representation in court, appeals in appropriate cases, legal self-help materials and forms. It is their goal to help people, families as well as individuals, move toward self-sufficiency through assisting them with their legal needs.

Mobile Bar Association Volunteer Lawyer Program

Provides free legal services in certain civil matters to those who can’t afford a lawyer.  Volunteers will assist with contacting clients, maintaining records, and assisting lawyers.

Waterfront Rescue Mission

A faith based recovery program serves meals and provides shelter daily to homeless men.  Volunteers serve meals working alongside those beginning recovery.
