Master of Pastoral Studies (MPS)

The Master of Pastoral Studies degree program is designed for students who are interested, not only in studying theology, but are also in preparation for professional ministry, or enhancing their pastoral skills.  It combines courses in theological study with those in applied theology.  Earning the degree requires completion of thirty-three credit hours: twenty-one hours in theology courses (from the M.T.S. program (see M.T.S: 6 hours Biblical, 6 Historical, 6 Moral, 3 Systematic) and 12 hours in applied theology:  pastoral liturgy, spirituality, spiritual direction/faith companioning, or ministry workshops.
