Winter Weather UPDATE

January 17, 4:11 p.m.
Based on information received from the National Weather Service in Mobile, Spring Hill College will resume normal operations and activities at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18. Classes scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. are canceled. Classes scheduled to begin on or after 9:25 a.m. will resume.

Anyone who anticipates hazardous driving conditions from their location should not risk coming to campus. Please use your best judgement and communicate with your supervisor (employees) or professor (students) if you feel you cannot safely reach campus by 9:00 a.m. or your scheduled class time. Students are encouraged to communicate with their professors by email.

College officials are closely monitoring the weather conditions. Be sure to pay attention to communications from the College and from local authorities, visit www.shc.edu and monitor SHC social media for updates, which will become more specific if necessary.

WEATHER UPDATE:
Spring Hill College has canceled all classes for today, Wednesday, January 17, due to hazardous conditions from the effects of the winter weather. Classes will resume as normal on Thursday, January 18. All students, faculty and staff should report as normal at that time.

UPDATE: Spring Hill College has canceled 8:15 and 9:15 a.m. classes for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17 and will resume classes at 10:15 a.m. All non-essential personnel should report for work at 10:00 a.m.

Use your judgment when making travel plans to arrive to campus and notify your supervisor should you not feel safe on the roads.

Student Dining Room - Open regular hours
Einstein's - Closing at 5:00 p.m. today and closed on Wednesday
Golf Shop - Closed Wednesday
McKinney's - Closed at 2:00 p.m. today and re-opens at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday

Spring Hill College is canceling all classes today, Tuesday, January 16, that are regularly scheduled to begin on or after 5:30 p.m.

Spring Hill College officials are closely monitoring the current cold weather system but do not expect conditions to impact College routines or activities. As always, Operations crews will be on call to address any issues associated with the weather warnings.

Please exercise caution on sidewalks and stairs due to possible ice which may form a slippery surface. If icy areas are discovered, please report it to Operations immediately.
