MOBILE — Spring Hill College’s Division of Theology is pleased to announce the 12th annual Spring Hill Day Celebration is set for Oct. 28.

Spring Hill Day, established in 1994, brings together graduate and certificate theology students, alumni, faculty and friends from our four theology sites: Mobile, Atlanta, Birmingham, and Jackson, Miss., at the main campus in Mobile for a day of fellowship.

“We’re so excited about this year's expanded format, culminating with evening Mass and recognition of our new Spiritual Direction Certificate recipients,” said Dr. Timothy R. Carmody, director of graduate theology. “It is such a special time of fellowship, education and reminiscing with our students. We look forward to the event each year.”

Featured presenters include: Dr. John Switzer, assistant professor, presenting “The Gifts of Otherness”; Elizabeth Bailey, an SHC Master of Arts in theology graduate, presenting her M.A. thesis; and the Rev. Frederick Gunti, professor of moral theology, giving the homily at Mass.

Rooted in its Catholic heritage and continuing the 450-year-old Jesuit tradition of educational excellence, Spring Hill College offers theology education courses at four locations in the Southeast: Mobile, Atlanta, Birmingham and Jackson, which can be applied to graduate or undergraduate degrees and/or certificates.
