Sep 18, 2006
MOBILE — Spring Hill College senior nursing students will sponsor their annual health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 in the Arthur Outlaw Recreation Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Along with SHC nursing students, representatives from local and national agencies will be available to answer health questions and to provide screenings, such as hearing exams, eye exams, body fat percentage measurements, blood pressure and glucose checks. Cholesterol screenings will be available for $3. Saads Healthcare will provide flu shots for $18. Door prizes will be given away, including a grand prize.
Held each year, the health fair allows Spring Hill College nursing students to use practical skills, educate their peers and the community, and provide local residents with information about their health and its importance.
For more information, call Elisabeth Ogletree, health fair chair, or
