MOBILE — Spring Hill College students, along with faculty and staff, will continue their work in Bayou La Batre, Ala., at the next “Saturday in Service” on Jan. 27. The group will gather at 8:30 a.m. in front of Mobile Hall and will return by 2 p.m. Projects include painting a shed, putting down flooring and carpeting, clearing land for the Boys and Girls Club, and cleaning out a garage apartment.

The service project, the first trip of the spring semester, reflects the college’s theme for this year: “Weaving the Social Fabric: Restoring, Rebuilding, Renewing Our Gulf Coast Communities.” More than 300 students participated in three trips to Bayou La Batre during the fall semester. The next Saturday in Service is scheduled for April 21.
