Accounting faculty honored at Spring Hill commencement

MOBILE — Glenda Partridge, instructor of accounting, and Dr. Andrew Sharp, professor of accounting, were recognized at Spring Hill College’s commencement on May 13.

Partridge received the Rev. Edward B. Moody, S.J., Teacher of the Year Award. An instructor of accounting at Spring Hill since 1999, Partridge is a candidate for Doctor of Business Administration in accounting from Anderson University.

Sharp, who received the Dawson Research Award at commencement, graduated from Spring Hill College in 1983 and has been a member of the accounting faculty since 1985. He received his Ph.D. in accountancy from the University of Mississippi in 1990. He was the recipient of the Dawson Research Award and the Mitchell Faculty Scholarship Grant in 2004. Sharp was named Spring Hill’s 2005-2006 Teacher of the Year. Last year he was named the holder of the Thomas E. Caestecker Chair in the Liberal Arts for 2006-2009.
