Dr. Gregory Morgan to present philosophy paper in China
MOBILE — Dr. Gregory Morgan, assistant professor of philosophy at
Spring Hill College, has been selected to present a paper at the 13th
International Congress for Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of
Science, the main international conference organized by the Division of
Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science of the International Union
of History and Philosophy of Science.
The 13th Congress, held every four years, will be hosted by Tsinghua
University in Beijing, China on Aug. 9-15. This is the first time for
the Congress to be hosted in a developing country and in East Asia. The
work of the Congress is divided into several sections that represent
different areas of logic, methodology and philosophy of science.
Morgan joined Spring Hill’s philosophy faculty in 2004, and he teaches
logic, ethics, philosophy of science, and philosophy of biology.
Originally from New Zealand, Morgan received his Ph.D. from Johns
Hopkins University in 2004.
