Switzer named director of graduate theology and ministry programs
MOBILE, Ala. – Dr. John Switzer, assistant professor of theology, has been named director of graduate theology and ministry programs at Spring Hill College. He will begin his duties as director on Aug. 1
Switzer earned an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in theology and education at Boston College in 2006. His primary areas of interest include historical and comparative theology. In addition to his doctorate, Switzer holds degrees from St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, La.; the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy; and Loyola University of New Orleans. He joined Spring Hill’s faculty in 2003 as an adjunct instructor and became a full-time faculty member in fall 2006.
Switzer has written articles on pastoral and theological issues for several national publications, including “The Encyclopedia of Love in the World Religions.”
