Rinda Mueller named Assistant Director of Leadership, Major Gifts and Planned Giving
Mobile, Ala. – Rinda Mueller was named assistant director of leadership, major gifts and planned giving effective Aug. 1, 2008.
Mueller began her career with Spring Hill College in January 2000. Her first role was as a major gift officer working one on one with alumni. Mueller’s most recent role at Spring Hill College was as a senior major gifts officer.
In Mueller’s new position she will collaborate with the director of leadership, major gifts and planned giving to plan, design, develop and implement the planned giving program for Spring Hill College. This program will serve to educate and inform alumni, parents and friends about the benefits of charitable gift plans, including will bequests, charitable trusts, and gifts of retained life estate.
“From my many, many visits with alumni throughout the years I have heard the same thing over and over -- how much they love Spring Hill and what a wonderful experience they had here. From my numerous visits with parents I hear the same response about their children,” said Mueller. “It is very exciting to be able to work with alumni, parents and friends as they help make these same dreams become reality for future generations of students who will attend Spring Hill College.”
Karen Edwards, director of leadership, major gifts and planned giving, said, “Our planned giving program is critical to ensuring the future of Spring Hill College by enabling us to build our endowment to provide scholarship assistance for students for generations to come. We are thrilled to have someone with Rinda’s knowledge and expertise head up our planned giving program.”
Originally from Oneonta, Ala., Mueller was employed with the University of Alabama in Huntsville for 18 years, where she was a stewardship coordinator prior to joining the Spring Hill College staff.
