Mobile, Ala. – In celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr., Spring Hill College will be hosting several events throughout the month of January.
 
– MLK Memorial Service & Candlelight
Thursday, Jan. 15
4:00 p.m.
St. Joseph Chapel

The Rev. Gregory F. Lucey, S.J. will preside at a non-denominational
service. A group of Spring Hill students will present reflections on the
legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

* The event is an “open mic” night for local poets to share poetry reflecting on the life and legacy of Dr. King.

* The Gospel concert will feature the Gentle Spirits of the Toulminville Warren Methodist Church, Blount High School Gospel Choir, Bishop State Community College Gospel Choir and the Truevine Baptist Church Music Ministry.
