Alyse Granier ’10 honored by American Advertising Federation
MOBILE, Ala. – Alyse Granier, an integrated communications major at Spring Hill College, was selected as the most outstanding member of SHC’s student chapter of the American Advertising Federation and one of the top 15 AAF students in the United States. Granier will participate in the Vance L. Stickell Memorial Student Internship Program as a summer intern with Saatchi & Saatchi, an advertising firm in New York City.
Granier has received numerous awards and scholarships while a student at Spring Hill, including the 2008 Public Relations Council of Alabama/Mobile Bettie Hudgens Memorial Student Award, 2008 PRCA-State Student of the Year, 2008 PRCA-State Scholarship, 2008 PRCA state and local conference scholarships, two 2009 PRCA-State Student Medallion Awards, and the 2009 PRCA-State Award Luncheon Scholarship.
Granier, along with three psychology students, developed Just4Students, an outreach project to aid high-school freshmen, sophomores and juniors in their college search process. The group received the Outstanding Service Project award at SHC’s 2009 Leadership and Involvement Awards.
The Vance L. Stickell Memorial Student Internship Program was established in 1989 in honor of Vance L. Stickell (1925-1987), former executive vice president, marketing, for the Los Angeles Times and a member of the Advertising Hall of Fame.
