Eichold Gallery to host 'GREEN' show Aug. 31 – Sept. 25

Mobile, Ala. – The Spring Hill College Eichold Gallery will host “GREEN10” Aug. 31 – Sept. 25. The opening reception is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3.
The opening exhibition of the academic year reflects Spring Hill College’s social justice theme, "Renew the Face of the Earth." Ten artists created the works in the show, which utilize recycled materials, celebrate the natural world, or speak of the environmental crisis.
The show will feature the work of the following artists:
Raine Bedsole, New Orleans mixed media artist
Casey Downing, Mobile sculptor
Susan Downing-White, Mobile landscape painter
Alan Gerson, New Orleans painter
Fred Lawyer, Mobile printmaker
Greg Shelnutt, University of North Carolina School of the Arts director of visual arts, sculptor
Karoline Schleh, Loyola New Orleans assistant professor of drawing/curator Diboll Art Gallery, mixed media artist
Dave Truesdale, Mobile ceramic artist
Rachel Wright, Mobile mixed media artist
Tony Wright, University of South Alabama associate professor of ceramics
