SHC Men’s Soccer to celebrate Senior Day Saturday, Oct. 25

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men’s soccer team will wrap up its home regular season schedule on Saturday at 2 p.m. versus Concordia College-Selma on Library Field.  Before the match, the Badgers will celebrate “Senior Day” in recognition of Zechariah Townsend who will play his final home contest in purple.

In the past three years, Townsend has played in 46 matches with 44 starts for the Badgers.  Primarily a defensive midfielder, he has scored five times with three assists for 13 total points in his career.  As a 2009 member of the GCAC Academic Honor Roll, Townsend is majoring in Accounting with a minor in Spanish.  A two-time team captain for the Badgers, he won the “Live Purple Award” as a sophomore.  He graduated from Middleburg High School in Middleburg, Florida.
