Spring Hill College collects donations for refugee families

MOBILE, Ala. – Christmas on the Hill has been the response of Spring Hill College to help refugee families who have come to the city of Mobile. The Refugee Resettlement Program is a part of Catholic Charities of the Mobile Archdiocese.

This year, the college community collected items to be distributed to families from Iraq, Burundi, Sudan, Liberia, Cuba, and Russia. A truckload of kitchen items, cleaning supplies, furniture, linens, toiletries, school supplies, toys and clothing were donated. In addition, more than $450 and gift cards were given to the program.
