Spring Hill College establishes Pocase-Miller Endowed Scholarship

MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College is pleased to announce the Pocase-Miller Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship, established by Rose and Reece Miller of Mobile, is intended to benefit students, majoring in business, who have had one or both parents wounded or killed in action while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The scholarship is named for Rose Miller’s father, Technical Sgt. Vincent J. Pocase Jr. Mr. Pocase was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps (now known as the U.S. Air Force) and a 1952 graduate of Spring Hill College. 

The scholarship is also named for Gunnery Sgt. Reece J. Miller, Sr., who served in the U.S. Marine Corps more than 20 years, including during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
