Spring Hill College Golf Scramble postponed until spring
Sept. 2, 2010
MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has postponed the first annual Badger Scramble that was originally set for Friday, Sept. 10 at the college’s Golf Course.
Athletic director Jim Hall said the decision to change the date was for a good reason. “We just learned that the Badger Scramble date was the same as the date set for the Mobile United Way Golf tournament,” said Hall. “The United Way is such a worthy cause and so important to our community, we did not want to conflict with it. We look forward to having our Badger boosters, alumni and friends play at a later date.”
The United Way Tournament is to be held at TimberCreek Golf Course in Daphne, Ala.
When rescheduled, proceeds from the Badger Scramble will benefit Spring Hill College’s athletic teams.
Besides the scramble, other events being planned include a Hole-in-One contest, Longest Drive and Closet to the Pin contests as well as a Longest Putt Award along with various raffle prizes.
