SHC student selected coordinator for Southeastern Panhellenic Conference

MOBILE, Ala. – Ruth Bourque, a junior psychology major at Spring Hill College, was recently selected to serve as a conference coordinator for the Southeastern Panhellenic Conference.

The conference serves to educate and develop leadership skills in women who are members of social sororities across the Southeast. Bourque will be one of six students planning the 2010 conference in Atlanta that is usually attended by more than 1,000 students. Her direct responsibilities include planning the program sessions that are presented during the three-day conference as well as meals, special events, philanthropy efforts and assembling conference materials.

Bourque serves as Panhellenic vice president for membership and standards at Spring Hill College. She is from Houma, La.
