Spring Hill professor’s art to be part of “Alabama’s Finest Exhibit”
GADSDEN, Ala. – Spring Hill College assistant professor of fine arts Wanda Sullivan will have several of her paintings included in the Gadsden Museum of Art’s “Alabama’s Finest” exhibit Nov. 14, 2011 –Jan. 14, 2012 in Gadsden, Ala.
The exhibit features the works of outstanding artists with an Alabama connection and this year will feature works by post-secondary art instructors from across the state.
An opening reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden.
Sullivan received her B.F.A. in painting from the University of South Alabama and her M.F.A. in painting from the University of Mississippi. She is the director of the Eichold Gallery at Spring Hill College. Her paintings have been exhibited in one person and group shows throughout the Southeast.
Recently Sullivan presented a solo exhibition at Sibley Gallery in New Orleans and the University of Mobile and is represented in a juried exhibition at the Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs, Miss.
