Wed, 01/04/2012 - 1:00pm

MOBILE, Ala. – Author Kelly Kathleen Ferguson will be the guest speaker at the Friends of the Spring Hill College Library event Wednesday, Jan. 18.  The “Conversation with Kelly Kathleen Ferguson” is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Stewartfield on the SHC campus.

Ferguson will discuss her book “My Life As Laura,” in which she explores her past and the pioneer journey of Laura Ingalls Wilder, whose life was the basis for her book series and the long-running television series, “Little House on the Prairie.”  Part travelogue, part memoir and part social commentary, “My Life as Laura” shows how a relationship with a pioneer girl who lived in little houses long ago can give a sense of purpose for today.

Refreshments will follow. A donation of $5 is requested. Friends of the SHC Library members, free. For additional information, contact Tracy Parman at (251) 380-2273 or tparman@shc.edu.
