Spring Hill tennis men earn four SSAC awards

MOBILE, Ala. – The 2013 Spring Hill College men’s tennis team collected four postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) as chosen by the head coaches of the nine member institutions on Friday.

Junior Jacob Neu of Lafayette, La., was named to the 2nd team of the 2013 SSAC All-Conference Team and was chosen the Spring Hill College representative on the 2013 Musco Lighting SSAC Champions of Character Team. Neu built an 8-6 season record playing mainly in the No. 2 singles court and a 9-10 record on the No. 1 doubles court with partner sophomore Meyer Schwartzberg of Lake Charles, La.

Neu also appeared on the 2013 SSAC All-Academic Team as did senior Jake Lyons of Jacksonville, Ala.
