Communication Arts students receive multimedia kits for storytelling in the 21st century
MOBILE, Ala. – Excitement filled Spring Hill College’s Integrated Multimedia Center on Sept. 4, as Communication Arts students opened their new multimedia kits.
Students enrolled in Ryan Noble’s Introduction to Media Production Lab and Dr. Stuart Babington’s Introduction to Media Writing class received the tools they need to be multi-format storytellers. Their media kits included Nikon D3200 digital SLR cameras, microphones and tripods. The students will learn various forms of media writing and basic production skills. They will complete some of their writing assignments in multimedia formats and will package their work for the Internet.
The students’ lab fees covered the cost of their kits, which now belong to the students for their use throughout the program and beyond.
