Alexander Scalco is one of five incoming freshmen to receive the Spring Hill Scholars award, Spring Hill College’s most prestigious academic scholarship.

Alex is a student at Jesuit High School in New Orleans, where he has maintained a 4.00 GPA during his four years of high school despite Jesuit’s very tough academic curriculum. Outside of academics, Alex is heavily involved in the campus ministry program at his school where he has served as a Student Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He plans to continue his strength in service at Spring Hill this fall and will focus his studies in the area of Theology.

Spring Hill Scholar recipients epitomize the well-rounded Spring Hill student and are chosen based on academic performance, leadership, service and a competitive interview. Those selected to receive the Spring Hill Scholar award receive a full-tuition and comprehensive fees scholarship worth more than $120,000 over four years.
