SHC Scholar Spotlight: Patty Mgbodile

Patriciamarie "Patty" Mgbodile is one of five incoming freshmen to receive the Spring Hill Scholars award, Spring Hill College’s most prestigious academic scholarship.

Patty is a senior at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham. She has maintained at 4.13 GPA. Patty is involved with several organizations at John Carroll including the Classical Language Club, Sodality, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and Carroll Students Modeling Christ. In addition, Patty is extremely active in the Fine Arts Department and participates in marching band, choir and theater. She also serves as a volunteer for the United Cerebral Palsy organization.

Spring Hill Scholar recipients epitomize the well-rounded Spring Hill student and are chosen based on academic performance, leadership, service and a competitive interview. Those selected to receive the Spring Hill Scholar award receive a full-tuition and comprehensive fees scholarship worth more than $120,000 over four years.
