Atlanta Program Site
Spring Hill’s theology programs have been offered in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Atlanta since 1997. We offer a variety of programs in locations throughout the Atlanta area.
Our graduate programs in theological studies are based at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Students can earn the Master of Theological Studies, the Master of Pastoral Studies, or the Master of Arts in Theology in addition to certificates in Spiritual Direction or Faith Companioning, and Theological Studies. Certificates, audits and undergraduate-level courses are also available for those not seeking master's level preparation. The courses are taught out of the Catholic tradition from a contemporary, ecumenical perspective, and are designed primarily for students who are working full-time in their professions or homes: lay men and women from a variety of professional backgrounds, clergy, religious educators and pastoral ministers.
The newest addition to our Atlanta based program is the Certificate in Ecclesial Ministry (CEM). The CEM is designed as a collaborative program of the College and the local diocese, providing a holistic formation for lay ecclesial ministers, as recommended by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord). It offers a basic foundation in Catholic theology, with undergraduate-credit courses, designed for anyone involved in some form of church ministry.
Each June we offer the Summer Institute of Christian Spirituality Atlanta, two one-week sessions of one-credit (or audit) courses, along with other special events, hosted at Ignatius Retreat House. The Institute offers a unique blend of academic challenge and spiritual enrichment, specially designed for adults seeking to deepen their faith and to explore the great traditions of Christian spirituality.
Spring Hill College is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and approved by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Commission.
