Preview and Orientation

What is Preview?

Preview is the first step of your journey to a successful college experience at Spring Hill College. We ask that you and your parents attend one of our Preview sessions, so you can...

  • Register for classes
  • Familiarize yourself with your “new home”
  • Get a better feel of what it’s like to be a Spring Hill College student
  • Meet our faculty, staff and administration
  • Meet new friends and classmates
  • Get a “Preview” of what’s to come...

When is Preview?

We have planned three sessions for your convenience:

  • June 12-13, 2008
  • June 19-20, 2008
  • June 26-27, 2008

Each session is a one-night/two-day program. Simply indicate your preference of dates when you register online at www.shc.edu/preview/register. Please plan to arrive between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the first day and to depart by noon on the second day. You will receive a detailed Preview schedule at check-in.

Why should parents attend?

While you are attending sessions about life at Spring Hill College, your parents will also participate in sessions designed specifically for them. In addition to having opportunities to ask questions of College faculty, administration and staff, your parents will learn about academic and residence life, student financial services, and other College functions. It’s also a great opportunity for them to meet and mingle with other parents of new Spring Hill College students.

How do you make Preview Reservations?

To make your reservation for a Preview, visit our Web site at www.shc.edu/preview/register and complete our online registration form. As a new Spring Hill College student, you attend at no cost. We ask your parents to pay an $85 nonrefundable fee per person, which includes the cost of meals and materials. Housing will be provided on campus for you and your parents. We believe that your parents receive valuable information at Preview and hope they will attend.

You will receive an e-mail confirmation for your Preview session. To give maximum personal attention and assistance to all Preview participants, we limit each Preview session to 125 students and assign reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis. The date your reservation is received will determine your priority for the session you prefer.

Who coordinates Preview?
