Opened in 2003, Viragh Hall is home to learning communities for 146 Spring Hill freshmen and named in honor of Albert "Skip" Viragh, 1964. The majority of Viragh housing consists of "pod living" where 12 students live together in double-occupancy rooms with a common living area and two common bathrooms. Viragh Hall has a laundry room and large multipurpose room with a HDTV, kitchen, and ping-pong table on the first floor, a kitchen and gathering space on the second floor, and a large study room on the third floor. Viragh Hall shares a courtyard featuring a water fountain and sitting area with Skip's Place, home of the upperclass learning communities.
Viragh Hall is fully air-conditioned. Rooms are furnished with an extra long twin bed, dresser, closet, desk and chair for each person. Each room has a cable TV jack and two internet ports. Common living areas are furnished with comfortable lounge furniture and have a cable TV jack. Residents are encouraged to furnish their rooms and common rooms to reflect personal tastes and are encouraged to speak to roommates about room furnishings before arrival on campus. Additional information about what items are allowed and not allowed in the residence halls are available in the Student Handbook on the Student Conduct webpage.
