Walsh Hall is named in honor of Fr. Joseph M. Walsh, S.J., President of Spring Hill College from 1925-1931.  Walsh Hall houses 166 freshmen in two buildings connected by a covered breezeway. Each double occupancy room is 16'6'' x 10'. Walsh Hall is adjacent to the campus mailroom and features a community gathering space with vending, foosball, and HDTV.

Walsh Hall is fully air-conditioned, equipped with a laundry facility in each wing, and allows access to the SHC wireless network. Rooms are furnished with an extra long twin bed, dresser, closet, desk and chair for each person. Each room has a cable TV jack and two internet ports. Residents are encouraged to furnish their rooms to reflect personal tastes and are encouraged to speak to roommates about room furnishings before arrival on campus. Additional information about what items are allowed and not allowed in the residence halls are available in the Student Handbook on the Student Conduct webpage.
