Testimonials

Tiffany Thomas '15

In Dr. Piafsky’s "Very Strange Things" course, my classmates and I were challenged to write a story that is conceptually different than the standard ink-and-paper, either through form or media. I endeavored to create a new relationship between character and reader; one not based on mutual consent, but instead on immediate infringement.

Because we have a smaller cohort, we offer a very wide variety of classes—in the past few years we’ve explored Young Adult fiction, genre fiction, various literary forms, written about travel and sport, even delving into television (Arrested Development) and film (the Coen Brothers).
