Now that you’ve decided to join us on The Hill, there are a few more steps you need to take regarding your financial aid
1. Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.gov as soon as possible if you haven’t already.
Complete Verification Process
Complete the FAFSA Verification process by July 1 if you were selected. Your award will remain estimated until this is completed, and you will not be able to use your aid to satisfy payment on your bill. Below is a step by step tutorial on completing verification.
2. Accept your Award
Accept or decline your aid through BadgerWeb by August 1. Linked below is a quick step by step tutorial for your convenience, as well as a guide to understanding your award.
3. Sign Your Enrollment Agreement
You must complete an Enrollment Agreement and select your Student Account options by August 1.
4. Pay Your Balance or Finalize Payment Arrangements
Pay your balance or set up a payment plan with Tuition Management Systems by August 1, 2016. You may also use parent loans and/or third party payments for the balance.
5. Complete All Required Documents
Check your BadgerWeb student account “Document Tracking” to ensure you have submitted all required financial aid documents by August 1.

You can check your balance 24/7 on your BadgerWeb Student Account. If you have questions about how to access your balance access the video linked below.
Alabama Student Grant
If you are an Alabama resident, please complete the Alabama Student Grant Application.
If you plan to use federal loans to help cover your balance for next year, complete these requirements by August. 1.
- Accept your loans on BadgerWeb
- Complete Entrance Counseling and complete a Master Promissory Note

If a parent plans to apply for a PLUS loan, a credit check must be performed and a master promissory note completed at Apply for a Parent Loan using the Parent FSA ID username and password.
If you have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) or Campus Employment (CEP) you must apply for a job at CareerBeam.
