Concentration in Computer Information Systems (CIS)
The computer information systems concentration equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to allow them to work in organizations that have diverse information processing needs.
Utilizing the knowledge gained in the concentration, and in the overall business curriculum, students will also be equipped with the understanding needed to start a business of their own.
The CIS concentration is particularly designed to prepare students for careers in computer management information departments of firms and for additional graduate study in information systems or business. Students will take courses in web development, programming, database tools and concepts and other key information processing areas.
Certificate in Computer Information Systems
The computer information systems certificate offers students exposure to foundational skills and knowledge needed to allow them to work in organizations that have diverse information processing needs. The CIS certificate is particularly helpful to give students with little background in CIS the exposure needed to work with people in the technical side of business.
