An Open Letter to Judson College Students and Families

Dear Judson College students and families,

We are very sorry to hear that Judson College will be closing. It’s hard to imagine the hurt you’re feeling as you cope with the loss of a place you called home and the uncertainties you face in the next chapter of your college journey. Our prayers are with you and those affected by this unexpected circumstance.

As you look for new college opportunities, we’d like to invite you to explore Spring Hill College, the oldest faith-based college in Alabama, forming leaders since 1830. That mission is woven into the fabric of our coursework and all areas of student life.

We hope you can find a home on The Hill, with our more than 381 acres of rolling hills, a close-knit community, unexcelled academics and almost limitless career possibilities upon graduation. All of us are here to offer a helping hand as you look at all the options available to you.

We’ll work with you to answer any questions you have about how to transition to Spring Hill, one of the most affordable private colleges in the country. Ashton Smith, an assistant director of admissions, is available to help you with whatever you need. You can reach her at absmith@shc.edu or by phone at 251-380-3016.

We invite you to visit our beautiful campus as soon as you can. Given what you will see and feel, we hope you’ll find your new college home at Spring Hill.

We will continue to pray that you experience God’s blessing now and always as your journey continues.

Joe Lee
