Mobile, Ala.— Spring Hill College is proud to announce that its Alpha Sigma Nu chapter has been honored as a 2024-2025 Chapter of the Year by the Alpha Sigma Nu national office. The award recognizes chapters that exemplify the Jesuit values of scholarship, loyalty, and service, and highlights excellence in chapter engagement, programming, and induction ceremony execution.
This recognition is especially meaningful as it coincides with Alpha Sigma Nu’s 110th anniversary, marking over a century of Jesuit honor society tradition and commitment to faith and service.
Spring Hill chapter celebrates a year of meaningful impact, having strengthened its campus presence through partnerships and mission-driven service. Collaborating with groups such as Pathways to Service and Greenkeepers, the chapter co-hosted events aligned with shared Jesuit values and the College’s mission.
A signature initiative this year was a campus-wide winter clothing and blanket drive, held during Mobile’s record-breaking snowfall. The drive united students, faculty, and staff in support of those experiencing homelessness, embodying the chapter’s commitment to service and solidarity.
Spring Hill College also honors the leadership of Rev. Michael Williams, SJ, who is stepping down this fall after more than twenty years of faithful service as chapter adviser. His guidance has shaped Alpha Sigma Nu’s spirit and mission on Spring Hill’s campus.
Each winning chapter received a framed certificate and a financial contribution to support future programming.
Spring Hill celebrates this honor as a reflection of our community’s deep commitment to the Jesuit mission— and looks forward to continuing the work of scholarship, loyalty, and service in the years ahead.
