Hurricane Nate Upate

Early this morning, Hurricane Nate made landfall in Mississippi as a Category 1 hurricane. Thankfully, our campus received very little damage.

The most substantial damage at this time is one tree down near Mobile Hall. Public Safety is removing limbs and shortly a tree service will remove the tree itself. There is some slight shingle damage to Andrews Hall and repairs are underway. Public Safety and Plant Operations are working to remove any debris from campus roadways and sidewalks. Please limit traffic on campus until all roadways are clear and it is safe to do so.

There are no reports of lost power and there were no reports of injuries.

As a reminder, the College will be closed on Monday for non-essential personnel. Essential personnel will be on campus and available.

Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes! Our thoughts are with those in Mississippi who suffered greater damage.
