What to expect when you come to Badger Day Open House

Badger Day Open House is a one-of-a-kind event that provides meaningful opportunities to meet the people who will connect with you and welcome you to the SHC family. You will have significant conversations with exceptional faculty, learn about the Spring Hill advantage that helps prepare you for the career of your choosing and learn what it is like to become an educated citizen and leader in service in the Jesuit tradition. You will see first-hand what an inspiring, life-changing place this is and what an extraordinary experience Spring Hill provides for the next four years and beyond.

Any interested high school student and their family or a transfer student interested in learning more about the value of a Spring Hill education should come experience Badger Day Open House. High school juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to attend.

If you have not experienced Mobile for yourself, you will find it is a vibrant city on Alabama’s Gulf Coast with a unique southern charm. With a climate to match, Mobile’s amazing restaurants and thriving industries host our students in internships, co-operative education opportunities and countless job opportunities from all of our academic programs. And Mobile has fun! Few people know that it’s the American birthplace of Mardi Gras which is still the highlight of Mobile’s calendar. SHC students love that they can be on one of Alabama’s or Florida’s Gulf Coast white sandy beaches in less than an hour.

Elizabeth Thomason, Spring Hill College Admissions Counselor, describes the Open House experience, saying, “You can expect to be welcomed and feel like you have always been a part of our Badger Family! We will answer your questions, you’ll meet faculty and staff who will be your mentors for the next four years, be introduced to future classmates and experience our beautiful campus in Mobile’s most beautiful neighborhoods. And wear comfortable shoes!”

When on The Hill, be sure to prepare for the weather as you will be guided through our gorgeous, residential campus by a Springhillian student ambassador.  You will eat lunch in our dining hall and will leave with a memento to remember your time here. This day is about YOU, be open to learning about how the Spring Hill education, steeped in Jesuit traditions, will help you find your home.
