A unique collaboration that combines an in-demand college degree with a new local industry leadership panel
Spring Hill College announces its new Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the Division of Business. The College is also partnering with the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce in a first-of-its-kind advisory panel. This unique collaboration with the Division of Business will advance innovation and experiential opportunities inside and outside the classroom, provide real-world guidance and ultimately help fill high-wage positions at area companies.
The College will offer the new undergraduate Supply Chain Management degree in both online and face-to-face formats. The online coursework will launch in spring 2022, while the face-to-face format will start in fall 2022.
The new Spring Hill College SCM degree will equip students with the skills needed to manage the flow of goods and services within industries. This includes the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption. Students who earn their degree in this program will be prepared for careers such as logistics analysts, transportation managers, purchasing professionals, and other logistics and SCM-related positions that are in high demand. Recent U.S. Bureau of Labor Statisticsdata indicates the possible earning’s potential of these kinds of positions.
The Mobile Area Chamber will be critical in connecting Spring Hill faculty with industry leaders who are willing to help guide this new program and encourage students to pursue this new degree.
