Mobile, Ala.— Spring Hill College has been named to Phi Theta Kappa’s prestigious 2025 Transfer Honor Roll, a national recognition that highlights colleges and universities demonstrating excellence in supporting dynamic and innovative pathways for community college transfer students.
Selected as one of 251 institutions nationwide, Spring Hill College earned a place on the Honor Roll for its commitment to removing barriers and fostering meaningful academic and social integration for transfer students. This distinction is based on a comprehensive analysis of 40 key metrics related to transfer student success, including financial aid availability, credit transferability, campus engagement and bachelor’s degree completion rates.
“I’m proud of the transfer outcomes we’re seeing at these Honor Roll colleges,” said Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa. “These colleges are doing more than just opening doors—they’re walking students through them. Their commitment to creating clear, supportive pathways demonstrates what’s possible when student success is truly the priority.”
Spring Hill College has redoubled efforts to ensure that transfer students are seamlessly integrated into its vibrant campus community and set up for success throughout the entire admissions process. With Transfer Tuesday counseling available during the peak application season, transfer students can easily meet with their Admissions Counselor and potentially receive on-the-spot admission decisions. The College’s summer Transfer Picnic events allowed transfer students to ask questions and create community connections long before arriving on campus in the fall.
“This recognition affirms what we have always known— that transfer students bring rich experiences and perspectives that contribute meaningfully to our campus community,” said Arlene Cash, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing. “We’re proud to be acknowledged for our success in providing clear, affordable and student-centered pathways to a four-year degree.”
Spring Hill has long prioritized personalized academic advising, generous transfer scholarships and a welcoming campus environment that makes it an ideal destination for transfer students seeking both academic excellence and community.
