Mobile, Ala.— Spring Hill College has been ranked No. 7 among the 2026 Best Value Schools for Regional Colleges in the South by U.S. News & World Report. The College has also been recognized as No. 12 overall in the South and among the Top Performers in Social Mobility.

These rankings reaffirm Spring Hill College’s mission of delivering a high-quality, accessible liberal arts education that empowers students from all backgrounds while continuously evolving to meet the needs of today’s learners and tomorrow’s workforce.

Spring Hill College’s recognition as one of the Best Value Schools in the South highlights its commitment to making a high-quality education accessible and affordable. The ranking considers both academic excellence and the net cost of attendance for students receiving need-based financial aid—making Spring Hill stand out as a top choice for families seeking meaningful return on investment. With competitive tuition, strong financial aid support, and a focus on student success, the College continues to provide one of the most compelling values in higher education.

“This accolade reflects the incredible value of a Spring Hill education,” said Arlene Cash, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing. “Today’s students are seeking more than a degree— they’re looking for a supportive community, accessible opportunities, and a return on their investment. These rankings validate the strides we have taken to make Spring Hill’s education excellent and attainable.”

The launch of new majors in AI and Data Science, Strategic Communication, Digital Communication and Social Influence, and Exercise Science adds even more value to a Spring Hill degree by preparing students for in-demand careers in growing industries.

Additionally, through a new alliance with Rockhurst University, Spring Hill students in health science programs will benefit from streamlined admission pathways into graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. By combining rigorous academics, real-world preparation, and strong financial aid support, the College continues to deliver one of the most compelling returns on investment in the region.

“This recognition affirms the strength of our academic programs and the dedication of our entire campus community,” said Dr. Mary H. Van Brunt, President of Spring Hill College. “As we continue to grow and evolve, our focus remains clear: to provide a transformative education that prepares students to thrive personally, professionally, and with purpose.”
