As our country’s Spanish-speaking population continues to grow, so does demand for people who can read, write, and translate the language.

The Spanish minor at Spring Hill College provides students with valuable working knowledge of Spanish language, cultures, literature and philosophy. Our expert faculty provide you with a learning experience that can sharpen your speaking, writing and conversation skills. Smaller class sizes mean you get to know your professors, and ensure you will receive focused, one-on-one attention from them.

Program Goals

Students in this program will develop an understanding of the Spanish language and cultures. With a focus on creating multilingual students, the Spanish language will be of utmost importance. The program also allows students to personalize their minor with classes in composition, literature, poetry, and culture.

Career Outlook

Students that graduate with a minor in Spanish will have a multicultural mindset that will allow them to analyze problems and develop creative solutions. Being fluent in multiple languages is a large advantage that graduates will have in the workforce and will help graduates stand out of the crowd.
