Program Goals

The goals of the Health Science minor include:

  • Demonstrate sound scientific reasoning skills
  • Apply scientific principles to biological/health problems
  • Evidence effective use of scientific literature
  • Demonstrate quantitative knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic laboratory skills

Career Outlook

Graduates with this minor will be able to work in supporting roles in health care such as medical assistant. This is also a great minor to be able to move on to graduate or professional medical programs.
