Testimonial

“I owe a great deal to my theology degree from Spring Hill College. Beyond a diploma or a title, which have also served me well, my degree has brought me to the place that I am today, both spiritually and professionally. I have worked for 5 years now as a theology teacher at St. Michael Catholic High School in Baldwin county where my education at the college has been foundational and of incontrovertible merit. More than anything, I am grateful for the lens I have been given in my time at Spring Hill through which all things can come into focus for the glory of God.” – Gabrielle Smith

As a theology department at a Jesuit institution, the theology faculty is committed to guiding our majors in “the service of faith and the promotion of justice,” which are at the very heart of the Christian gospel. The fundamental rationale of the theology core requirement is to introduce students to serious, critical reflection on questions relating to God and human existence.
