Spring Hill College Celebrates Academic Excellence at 2024 Honors Convocation

(Mobile, Ala.) Spring Hill College had its 2024 Honors Convocation on Friday, April 26 at the St. Joseph Chapel with family, friends and faculty present. In their commitment to academic excellence, undergraduate and graduate students are honored at the celebratory event for their school work and service achievements. Provost Rebecca Cantor, PhD, led the program with a welcome and Director of Campus Ministry Colleen Lee, PhD, followed with the invocation. Assistant Professor Paula Celis-Salazar, PhD, delivered the address.

The College recognized inductees from its 14 honor societies, including Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit colleges and universities that acknowledges junior and senior students who excel in scholarship, loyalty and service. Associate Professor Maura Mandyck, PhD, named off the inductees. President Mary H. Van Brunt offered closing remarks after the presentation of awards.
