OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD

The Spring Hill College Outstanding Alumni Award honors an individual whose life, work, and service reflect the mission, Jesuit values, and educational ideals of Spring Hill College. Rooted in the College’s tradition of forming men and women for others, the award recognizes alumni who exemplify integrity, ethical leadership, professional excellence, and a deep commitment to serving others.

Recipients embody the Spring Hill tradition of cura personalis—the care and development of the whole person—and demonstrate a commitment to using their talents, experiences, and accomplishments to make a meaningful difference in their communities and the world.

Through their lives and leadership, Outstanding Alumni reflect the enduring values of a Spring Hill education: faith, service, justice, intellectual excellence, and a commitment to the greater good.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees should:

  • Demonstrate a life consistent with Jesuit values, including integrity, service and leadership.
  • Have made significant contributions in their profession, community, church or society.
  • Reflect positively on Spring Hill College through their actions and achievements.
  • Serve as an inspiring example for current students and alumni.
  • Be an alumnus/alumna of Spring Hill College.

Nomination Guidelines

  • Nominations may be submitted by alumni, faculty, staff, trustees or friends of the College.
  • Self-nominations are not permitted.
  • Nominations are accepted once a year and will remain active for three years.
  • Supporting documentation is encouraged but not required.

IGNATIAN COMMUNITY SERVICE ALUMNI AWARD

The Ignatian Community Service Award honors an alumnus/a whose life reflects an extraordinary commitment to serving others. The award will recognize an individual or group who, through their time, talent, resources, leadership and personal example, have made a meaningful and lasting difference in their community and beyond.  Rooted in the ideals set forth by St. Ignatius Loyola and the Spring Hill tradition of cura personalis, the Ignatian Award showcases extraordinary examples of service to others.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees should:

  • Demonstrate a personal dedication to Jesuit values in the form of community service, humanitarianism or service to others.
  • Have founded, developed or demonstrated leadership in advancing programs or initiatives that serve others, beyond their professional responsibilities.
  • Represent a commitment to longstanding service, beyond a single event, organization or short-term initiative, creating a lasting legacy of service that will continue to benefit others.
  • Be an alumnus/alumna of Spring Hill College.
  • Posthumous nominations may be considered.

SPRING HILL LEGACY AWARD

The Spring Hill College Legacy Award honors a family whose enduring commitment, leadership and generosity have made a lasting impact on the life and future of Spring Hill College.

This award celebrates families whose multi-generational connection to the College reflects a deep belief in its Jesuit mission and whose engagement — through philanthropy, service, volunteer leadership or alumni involvement — has strengthened the Spring Hill community.

Legacy families help sustain the traditions and spirit of Spring Hill College while shaping opportunities for future generations of students.

Eligibility

Nominees should:

  • Represent at least two generations connected to Spring Hill College (alumni, parents, grandparents or family supporters).
  • Have demonstrated long-term involvement with the College.
  • Show collective impact rather than a single individual contribution.
  • Reflect the Jesuit ideals of service, leadership and community.

Nomination Guidelines

  • Nominations may be submitted by alumni, faculty, staff, trustees or friends of the College.
  • Self-nominations are permitted for family submissions.
  • Nominations remain active for three years.
  • Supporting materials are encouraged (Letters of support, photos or historical materials, articles or publications)
