Spring Hill College held its annual Honors Convocation on Friday, April 21, 2023, at St. Joseph Chapel. This event honors undergraduate and graduate students for academic and service achievements. Inductees of the College’s 14 honor societies were recognized, including Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit colleges and universities, which acknowledges junior and senior students as outstanding examples of the ideals of Jesuit education. The President’s Scholars were also honored as well as those on the Dean’s Roll of Honor. In addition, awards were presented to students for their academic and extracurricular activities on campus.
The ceremony began with a welcome by Spring Hill’s Provost, Rebecca Cantor, PhD, followed by an invocation given by Colleen Lee, director of Campus Ministry. Associate Professor, Maura Mandyck, PhD, recognized the honor society inductees. Following the presentation of awards, President Mary H. Van Brunt, PhD, gave the closing remarks.
