Rockhurst University and Spring Hill College have formed a strategic alliance, giving students at both institutions access to new courses, degree paths and co-curricular experiences. A Historic Partnership 

With more than 300 combined years of Catholic, Jesuit higher education, the partnership between Rockhurst and Spring Hill represents the coming together of two mission-centered institutions with deep roots in their communities. 

Rockhurst University sits in the bustling heart of Kansas City, Missouri, a major metropolitan area that is home to national companies and renowned cultural institutions. Spring Hill is located on a historic campus near the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state and one of the oldest Jesuit institutions in the U.S.

Rockhurst Students

Students at Rockhurst can enroll in approved and available courses at Spring that are not otherwise available at Rockhurst. Some undergraduate students may also be eligible for summer study at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. In addition, Spring Hill offers graduate degrees and certificates, including in theological and pastoral care studies, that students at Rockhurst can pursue. All courses at Spring Hill College approved and available to students at Rockhurst University will be listed in Rockhurst’s online course catalog and designated as such. Students will enroll in the course using their home institution’s registration process.

Students can talk to their academic advisor if they are interested in taking courses offered by Spring Hill College. They would search for and register for those courses using the normal process for their home institution.

All courses offered at Spring Hill College through the partnership will be online. Students should talk to their academic advisors for specific information on access to the College’s online learning platform.

No. Students at Rockhurst do not need to fill out an application to take courses at Spring Hill. Some programs (for instance, graduate programs) would require an additional application for admission.

Undergraduate students at Spring Hill College can enroll in undergraduate courses at Rockhurst University that are not offered at Spring Hill (and vice versa). In addition, the partnership allows for students to pursue streamlined pathways into Rockhurst’s graduate degree programs.

Courses available at Rockhurst will be automatically listed in Spring Hill College’s online course catalog.

No additional applications or transcripts are needed to enroll in any undergraduate courses offered at Rockhurst.

Students interested in taking a course offered at Rockhurst will simply enroll through their home institution’s registration process.
